Religious Education (CCD) Classes
Parents are the primary educators of their children, and youngsters always learn first in the home about God. The Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown supports parents as they foster in their children a love of God and an understanding about Jesus Christ and gospel values. One of the ways St. Mary's offers this support is through a comprehensive, parish-based religious education program for youngsters who do not attend Catholic Schools.
Every child should have access to such programming at least until high school graduation. The best way to keep the faith of our parish strong is to educate our youth. It is the responsibility of all of us to see to that education.
CCD classes are held at St. Mary's on Sunday mornings from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. following the 7:30 a.m. Mass. If your child does not have transportation, please contact Callista at 814-259-3675 to try to make transportation arrangements.
To register your child for CCD classes, please contact Callista Baer, Director of Religious Education for St. Mary's, at 814-259-3675.
